"I’m a bitch I’m a lover
I’m a child I’m a mother
I’m a sinner I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I’m your hell I’m your dream
I’m nothin’ in between
You know, you wouldn’t want it any other way"
Sorry, that is the first thing that came to mind when I read "Tell us a little(or a lot) about yourself."
Reality is I can be all of those things and more. I am sometimes a very simple person and at other times a very complicated person. I am the mother of two wonderful, bratty, unique, frustrating, incredible, young adults. Erin 20 and Ted 22. I have been married for 24 years to Edmund J. Quinn Jr. We have had a good life, not always an easy life, but a good life none the less.
In October 2006 Ed was diagnosed with a Grade III Mixed Astrocytoma Oligodendroglioma - a Brain Tumor. Our lives were turned upside down and we have felt like we have been on a roller coaster since then. He had surgery and the doctor was able to remove 99.9% of the tumor, however the Astrocytoma part of the tumor is kind of like a spiney urchin and sends out tendrils into the brain. Ed did 6 weeks of radiation therapy, 5 times a week. He then started Chemotherapy. If the Chemo and radiation don't do the trick our "Plan B" is to contact Duke University Hospital. They have one of the leading Brain Tumor Clinics in the US.
Erin graduated from TCC (Tidewater Community College) in May of 2007 and is looking to transfer to the University of New Mexico, or the University of Central Florida. She can't make up her mind.
Ted is still in school studying Criminal Justice.
and I am just taking it One Day at a Time and trying to hold on to my sanity.
